| Minotaur has made a decision to move from
our current location on Automatic Rd. We have yet to find
our new home, but we will let you know when and where
we are moving to as soon as we know the new location. |
There are several reasons for this move such as; Minotaur is growing, we
have a larger staff than we have had in the past. Minotaur is quite excited about this move and
we plan to stay in Brampton. We will be sure to update
you with our new location once we have found our new home. |
Belwood Poultry became a Minotaur customer in August
2002. Belwood is a turkey slaughterhouse that processes
both full and partial turkeys. Belwood is running
Minotaur's Inventory Control, Invoicing/Order Entry
and Lot Control Modules. Belwood uses an integrated
weighing station provided by Carlisle Technology.
|
 |
 |
|
| The weighing station generates a XML file
that contains the product code, lot number and weight
which is loaded into the Minotaur system using the Minotaur
XML data interface. Carlisle's Software also prints bar
coded labels displaying part code, lot number and weight.
The label is placed on the carton as part of the weighing
process. From that point forward the product is tracked
by scanning this label. |
| Belwood uses portable barcode scanners
provided by Carlisle to scan products involved in transfers,
shipments or inventory counts. The resulting information
is exported in an XML format and loaded into Minotaur
using the Minotaur XML data interface. Once the information
has been loaded, Belwood staff use regular inventory control
modules to monitor inventory. |
| The Minotaur XML data interface has been
modified to directly generate customer invoices as the
shipping information is loaded. |
| Using both Minotaur and Carlisle allows
Belwood to have an integrated software solution that assists
them with total inventory and lot control which is very
important in any food industry, especially the poultry
industry. |
