Orders by Location - by Victor Boersma
The Minotaur system keeps track of inventory transactions by location. The system can be modified to track orders by location also. The system will then keep track of what is on purchase order and committed by location.

We can modify the part file to allow you to set maximums and minimum stock levels by location, so you can reorder by location. The part file will look like this;

For each location you would enter the minimum and maximum level and the system would tell you the current stock level, quantity on order and the quantity committed for each location.

We will add a location field to the order entry screen. When entering the order the user will enter the location for that order. It will flow through to the shipment and invoice screens at which point the user can override the location if necessary.

The following reports will be modified to use the multiple locations:
   
The Committed and Ordered Audit Report (IORO) will be modified to ask Location (Blank for All).
The Reorder List (VVRRR) will be modified to ask Location (Blank for All):
Part screen will show orders by location?
   
Other reports can also be modified to make use of this information on an extra billable basis. The system still calculates the overall committed and ordered totals, so the existing reports and programs continue to work as before.
