Data Modification to Enhance Speed of Financial Reporting and Exchange Changes By Victor Boersma

Minotaur has recently been working with some of our customers to enhance the speed of our exchange change process and some of our financial reports.

As some of you may already know, Minotaur tracks general ledger transaction data in two files. The main file with all of the detail information is GLREC - the general ledger detail file. We also store summary records by transaction type and date in SUMREC. The summary file is dramatically smaller, particularly in accounts that are heavily used for limited transaction types such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank accounts.
