| My name is Lin Chear, and I'm honoured
to be the latest addition to the Minotaur Software team.
I've taken on the role of Applications Programmer and
will be working on expanding and optimizing the Minotaur
Business System for our client's needs. |
I've worked as a business information systems consultant
on expanding and implementing other ERP packages for a
number of clients prior to joining Minotaur Software.
I've worked with JDEdward's Oneworld, PRISM and have dealt
with OracleERP, and SAP. Upon joining, I was intrigued
by Minotaur Software's high level of client commitment
which is uncommon in this industry. |
I was born in Cambodia, but lived in the refugee camps
in Thailand for four years before immigrating to Canada
as a child. During my time in Canada, I've lived in exotic
locales such as Ottawa, Toronto, and Keswick (the Southern
tip of Lake Simcoe). I graduated from Ryerson University
with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Computer Science where
I completed a thesis on wireless data communications and
specialized in computer networks. |
I am happy to be a part of Minotaur Software, and hope
to contribute to Minotaur Software's outstanding level
of quality. |
| Since 1995, Sweet Creations has been using
the Minotaur Business System for the accounting and inventory
side of their business. Sweet Creations is located in
Woodbridge Ontario and is known for their mouth watering
palm leaves pastries and flavourful European style cakes
which includes apple, cherry, strawberry and ricotta cheese.

Before Minotaur, Sweet Creations was using Accpac for
their accounting and order entry process. With the Minotaur
Business System in place, Sweet Creations now has a solution
that completely integrates their inventory, invoicing
and financials and also allows them to forego any batch
posting they encountered with their previous system. |
Sweet Creations is a relatively small family run business
that has accounts with major retailers such as Fortino's,
Highland Farms, Costco, etc. These accounts bring in large
production orders and Sweet Creations has also recently
acquired some customers in other provinces, which has
increased their demand for orders. With these new customers
they realize that they will need to incorporate the manufacturing
side of the Minotaur Business System. This will allow
them to implement a fully integrated Minotaur solution
which will assist them in the manufacturing process from
start to finish as well as have a system that will assist
them with their daily tasks such as order entry, purchasing
and production scheduling. |
Presently Sweet Creations executes their own routing process
and marketing initiatives with retailers. With Minotaur
they can implement Minotaurs Routing Module and Marketing
Program. These modules will save them both time and money
as the routing system will route out an entire delivery
route for their driver and the marketing program will
develop a full retail-marketing program to deal with their
major retail customers. |
Implementing the Minotaur Business System has assisted
Sweet Creations with a simplified and organized daily
process for the day to day operations of their business. |
